(NH4)2[Co(H2O)6]2V10O28·4H2O Vs. (NH4)2[Ni(H2O)6]2V10O28·4H2O: Structural, Spectral and Thermal Analyses and Evaluation of Their Antibacterial Activities

Abstract This paper presents the synthesis of two cluster compounds {(NH 4 ) 2 [Co(H O) 6 ] V 10 O 28 ·4H ( C1 and (NH [Ni(H C2 )} which were obtained as single crystals suitable for XRD analysis that revealed their crystallization in monoclinic (C2/c) triclinic (P-1) space groups, respectively. Additionally, characterized using CHN FT-IR spectroscopy thermal decomposition mechanisms investigated. The antibacterial activities both determined against three human pathogenic bacterial strains { Bacillus cereus ATCC 33,018, Escherichia coli O157:H7 Pseudomonas aeruginosa 9027} one phytopathogenic strain Ralstonia solanacearum }, while drug standards {chloramphenicol streptomycin} used control. inhibitory activity minimum concentration (MIC) values tested clearly indicated higher nickel compound B. E. O157 R. with MIC 3.150, 3.150 6.300 mg/ml, On other hand, exhibited P. 9027 (MIC value mg/ml) comparison to analog. In general, measured are lower than except given by streptomycin strain.
